As the creative lead at Pollen, Joey’s core focus is geared around conceptualizing, crystalizing and executing provocative creative materials at the absolute highest standard.
A true creative catalyst, Joey has a track-record of success – designing for the world’s largest brands and also creating new-to-market challenger brands.
Joey’s swiss-army-knife approach and ability to understand his clients’ needs result in high caliber outputs that are effectively translated across a wide range of touchpoints: branding, packaging, advertising, video, social and digital.
A serial entrepreneur, Joey is also a critical member of the leadership team at DAWNING.org, having led programs in Latin America, Asia and Africa. Joey is a part-time professor at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan since 2015.
With a somewhat serious countenance and systematic approach, John captains the ship at Pollen, though you’ll often find him getting his own hands dirty, whether it’s scheduling projects, wireframing concepts, writing copy or at home digging in his vegetable garden or parenting his children.
Methodical and conservative, John sometimes surprises people with his creativity. You can catch a glimpse of this softer side by leafing through the thoughtful and revealing Pollen blog posts he contributes.
It’s been a fun, crazy journey for John. A full-time web designer at 18, he is now a father of four energetic children of his own. Being a family man has strengthened his resolve to make a difference through his work.
“The stewardship of people and planet are the most important goals that any skill-set could be used to attain.” says this well grounded founder. “Through the power of design, we hope to empower those who are working toward those ends.”
He and Joey continue toward these goals at Pollen, helping others create successful purpose-driven organizations while building the team that makes it all possible.
