A recent survey conducted by Pike Research evaluated consumer opinions of 13 different energy and environmental concepts. The general trend across the board is that less educated people are less favorable of green technology such as solar, wind, electric vehicles and smart grids. I would go out on a limb with the assumption that these trends extend to other green concepts like the green products that you may be offering. How should you address these trends in your eco-branding and green marketing ideas? Do you specifically target more educated people? Perhaps there’s money to be made in communicating the eco-branding message appropriately to less educated people and turning some of that market around in your favor?
